Realm of the Mad God is a persistant flash MMO-lite. I call it an MMO-lite because you can easily level a character to max (20) in a single play session.... and in ten or twenty minutes once you've figured the game out. On top of that, if you die, you're character is gone and you have to start over.

The gameplay is similar to Gauntlet in many ways, more along the lines of a top down shooter like Geometry Wars, but with a medeival theme. You've got several different classes to choose from, each with their own strengths. The archer, for example, lacks in armor, but has great range and can get a bow that allows him to fire three shots at once. The priest can heal himself and allies around you, but suffers from even less armor than the archer, and can only fire one shot at a time (with similar range as archer). The knight, on the other hand, has fantastic armor, but has a very short range of attack. The mechanics of the game encourage team work, and you'll find that players can be rather charitable (a group may find a golden sword for example, which is a fantastic weapon for a low level character, but will probably be passed up by a level 20). Playing as a "party" is very simple and intuitive, you share experience with anyone close to you, and first to loot gets it, no formal "party" request required.

There's a decent range of equipment choices for each class.. and you'll find that there are various "sidegrades" among the top tier of equipment. There's also a variety of items to use, such as healing and mana potions, as well as potions that permanantly increase a stat by a point. There's booze that does nothing but blur the screen on use, a mushroom that randomizes all of the character sprites, and keys that open a door to a randomized dungeon that you can navigate, with a boss at the end.

The world map is rather large. The environment you're in will determine the enemy's "level" that you'll be facing. The beach is the lowest level area, forest is the medium range, and snowy and rocky areas are the high level spots. There's various boss mobs scattered about the world, of different levels. Mobs also "reproduce", spawning based on the number of similar mobs within the same area. A group of players can work together to wipe out a population within an area if they wished, but that could also lead to a group of god level enemies getting eradicated in an area as well. Even if this happens, the world changes (several different continents to rotate through) after 25,000 of the monsters on the map are killed. Once the number is reached, you face off with the Mad God, Oryx (who, of course, has the highest chance of dropping the best equipment), and a bunch of his clones (who also drop pretty decent stuff).

As for the graphics.. They're very simple, sprite based, but sharp and well done. They're basically hi-res NES graphics.. You'll see what I mean.

Also if you can, watch it 720p. Graphics are fully appreciated then. It's still 7 months away from release, so graphics are probably gonna get even better.

Wii was cool for a couple hours, now the shovelware to legit title is ~~10-1~~ 50-1 and getting worse. Sure plenty of games are fun, but they would be a whole lot better if they all just utilized the bomb ass Gamecube controller.

Kinect is cool technology, I look forward to the Xbox 720 or whatever when they have this integrated into the console. I really just want it for some simple hand commands in and out of games. But, considering Microsoft won't support this off the bat and it costs $150 ($100 if you get the 'S' package) that is completely out of the question.

Move...fucking Sony is retarded. Move is WiiHD incarnate. I swear to god Sony spends more money researching what the competition does more than they spend on actual R&D. They make more mistakes than any other gaming company that has ever existed, and I am including Sega with fucking Saturn surprise launch. They have had plenty of time to see the failures of Nintendo yet they are still making peripherals like:

And then, the fucking Move shit itself is priced way high too. To get the full package you need two ice cream cones, a nav controller and the PSeye. They advertise it as $100 if you get the bundle that only has the PSeye and one ice cream cone. Good luck affording enough controllers for two people.

Whatever, I won't be buying any of them. Anyone here that is going to buy them care to explain their purchase?

I ask this because it is literally the same thing that happened with Left 4 Dead. A new game with just a few tweaks being released a year later. Assassins Creed 2 was also a pretty high profile game but I have yet to see any outrage with this game.

Just something I had noticed....I am not griping since I did not like Assassins Creed 2. It was better than the original but nothing spectacular.

Ok, me & relentless were playin some Turtles in Time earlier. And I thought you all might wanna play some SNES over the internet was well.
There's a few things you'll need.

1. Zsnes - http://www.zsnes.com
Make sure you download version 1.36 as it's the only version we got to work.

2. Zbattle - http://www.zbattle.net

3. Roms - Most people get roms from http://www.romnation.net
Just make sure you BOTH have the same exact rom when choosing the game. Otherwise the games won't sync and you won't be able to play.

Also, another thing we found out is that once you get the game up and loaded it will sit their waiting for each of you to connect to each other. Press cancel, and uncheck the UDP choice that you see. Then reconnect to each other without closing the client.

Make sure you figure out who's first player & second player. Cuz two 1P's is kinda stupid. lol

New 360 Best Buy ?

I have the Best Buy replacement plan which worked great for all the other times i had to replace my system, but now i heard that they arent selling original model 360s anymore and thought id be able to grab a new one for free.
