Pretty fun, small little film. Nothing revolutionary, but enjoyable. Like a less ambitious Little Miss Sunshine. Jason Segel is really good. Some scenes where the laughs continue for quite a bit.

Big gripe is the directors do this horribly stupid shaky cam and minor zoom in and out. Not even with a documentary feel like The Office, or crazy hectic like The Bourne Ultimatum. Just random adjustments to the camera. First 10 minutes of the movie was actually the only time in my life I ever actually considered walking out of a film. I've hated lots of movies, but I always know I'm going to sit through the whole thing. But I really thought I would not be able to focus on the movie if they keep doing this. But, as the movie went on, I either got used to it or they did it less.

These guys made Cyrus as well, and they did the same thing. I didn't see the movie, but I remember reading complaints about how stupid that style was. I can't believe they did it again.
I almost walked out of Public Enemies for the same reason. The camera work was very amateur in that movie.

Not really sure what you're talking about with Public Enemies. There's handheld stuff, but I wouldn't call it amateur. It think it services the scenes. Look at the Public Enemy camera work for a couple seconds, and then look at the Cyrus camera work. There is a huge difference.

Several times they actually zoom out just so they have more room to zoom back in.

I do think I remember people talking about the PE camera work, so maybe it has problems that I don't see or agree with. But if you haven't seen Cyrus or Jeff Who Lives at Home, comparing the PE style to the Duplass brother's style is like comparing a comedy film you kinda didn't like with Epic Movie.

Ace in the Hole - 9/10 Would have gotten 10/10, but I couldn't get into the suspension of disbelief concerning... wont say or spoiler. Overall, an amazing film about a reporter in New Mexico during the 50s. Kirk Douglas is epic.

Ran (1985) - 9/10 Pretty much defines what an epic story should be. It's King Lear set in feudal Japan. Everything about the movie is excellent.

Rango - 7/10 Cute kid's movie with plenty of adult humor thrown in. A bit too silly at times, but hell, it's a kid's movie.

Cabin In The Woods - 8.5/10

I might be a Joss Whedon fanboy, but this was a really solid movie. Could have easily been a forgettable routine horror film, but the plot is original and acting works good enough. The comedic elements really are why I liked the film so much, a lot of funny moments to balance the horror. See it.

Yup. Really, really fun movie. The trailers give away the bit that the cabin is under control of some sort of super tech lab, but finding out what and why they're controlling makes everything even more enjoyable.

Bad Boys - 7/10 Cool movie, decent acting, but very predictable.

Swimming with Sharks - 6/10 Kevin Spacey is good in it, but it's kind of boring otherwise.

Stir Crazy - 7/10 Classic Pryor/Wilder movie. It's really funny, but nothing is spectacular.

    Airplane! 9/10------Classic comedy

    Shawshank Redemption 10/10------No explanation needed

Tower Heist 3/10------------Took too long to start, and I hate Ben Stiller. Eddy Murphy is the only reason I gave it 3 stars.

    God Bless America 7/10

The movie ended too soon for me. I wanted more.

    Coriolanus, 9/10

Loved the modern setting mixed with authentic shakespearian language.

    Hunger Games 8/10

I have mixed feelings about the book but I found it mostly enjoyable. I'm going to be a little biased because I couldn't help comparing it to the book (and series as a whole).

The movie does a lot of things right and some things wrong. The interaction between Katniss and Rue was done extremely well. Clove was cast very well and gets bonus points because I've been a fan of the actress since Orphan.

Peeta seemed wimpy. Katniss was kind of boring. Effie, Seneca, and Cinna were pretty good. I purposefully avoided talk about the movie so I was pleasantly surprised at the casting of Haymitch.

Unfortunately, I was more interested with other tributes than the two District 12 ones. Like Clove, Thresh, Rue, and Cato.
I believe this movie. A dude could jump off a mountain and not hurt himself, 'cause he did brace himself, and knew something about the levels of gravitivity and polarity.

Picasso and Braque Go to the Movies - 7/10 Pretty interesting, but more worthy for showing so much art and old movie clips (like, the first movie clips). But it's not great for what the movie set out to do.

Drive - 9/10 - Awesome all around. Good acting, a cool story and a fantastic soundtrack. I really liked this film.

Men in Black 3 - 7/10. Personally i'm not too big of a fan of the series and wouldn't pay the $12 to see this movie. I did however like how the writers connected J and K in the end of the movie. The rest was just typical stuff that you knew would happen.

Mesrine: Public Enemy #1 (part 1) - 8/10 Fantastic crime thriller with great acting, plenty of violence and a cool story. I really appreciated how they don't drag the movie along by explaining every little thing. They hop around a lot and present new characters without much context, but it works really well
