Stupid question....? probably.

Hai guize, After messing on the Mac's at college and having a craving for GarageBand, I want to install Mac OS X on my laptop. Has anyone here actually done this before/know someone who has done this? Seems a win-win situation, theoretically I could have OS X on a machine half the price. I've looked at a few methods, (iDeneb, Iatkos etc..) just wondering if anyone knows a little about it.

If you have a more recent intel pc and use one of the AIO disk from torrent sites you should have decent sucess, if its an amd you will have less of a chance. As for if you hardware will look just here

Ive done it before, its not to hard just make sure your hardware works or else finding drivers is a pain.

Well, here's my specs:

CPU: AMD Turion(tm) X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-74 2.20GHz
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 3200
Memory : 4096MB
Motherboard: Acer JV50PU Rev
Audio: ATI HDMI Audio, Realtek High Definition Audio
Network Adapters: Atheros AR5B91 Wireless Network Adapter, Broadcom NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet.

I've been reading about my CPU and it seems fine, (SSE3 compatible) gunna have a shot in the dark, hopefully no harm can be done
