12 Reasons Pancakes are better than Waffles.

Some chick had the audacity to make the claim that waffles are better than pancakes. Yes, like you, I was stunned. After about a full minute of silent shock, I became angered. Despite what fevered emotions my initial reaction wrought, I was quick to control my temper and politely describe to her the many benefits pancakes have over waffles in as a restrained manner as I could muster, and as I see it; RJM style.

Pancakes don't need special appliances to get things hot. All you need is a place to lay them down.
Pancakes are in their element when you have more than one at a time.
Waffles are always so square. Now pancakes, there are round ones, square ones, thin ones, thick ones, dark ones, light ones. You aren't stuck with one kind forever!
Pancakes get flipped over and done both sides. Every time.

EVERY time.
Pancakes have their own House. And it's fucking International.
Canadian Pancakes are actually awesome.
Pancakes are made to be messy. They don't care if your syrup gets all over.
No one will tell you to 'Leggo my Pancake'.
Pancakes have been around for hundreds of years, and they are just as hot today as they were then.
Immediately after having pancakes, you feel like you need to rest and recoup, no matter what kind of stamina you have.
Saying you had 18 pancakes gets you respect and admiration. Especially if they were all at once.
Some pancakes are best rolled over and stuffed. And no one considers that taboo.

She conceded my points, but was unwilling to change her uneducated opinion until further testing. I offered to subject her to my pancakes so that she may make a more informed decision. So wish me luck.

Tomorrow I'm serving breakfast in bed.

One reason waffles are better than pancakes:

The syrup and butter pool up in the little squares, and makes them cleaner and easier to eat than pancakes; The butter and syrup just runs off of those and pools up on the plate. You have to spend most of your time rubbing the cut-up pancake on the plate.

I'm gonna have to go with Amadeus on this one, the fact that the syrup goes into the squares makes the waffle extra soggy with syrup which basically equals an orgasm in your mouth. Thank you Eggo and Aunt Jemima.
